Cheap beer in Inwood
Inwood is the far northern tip of Manhattan and one of the last places on the island where a beer is priced like a neighborhood good rather than a night out — this short list has a floor comparable to the cheapest parts of Brooklyn. The bars are locals' bars along Broadway and Dyckman, with a couple of rooftop and restaurant rooms above them. For a list this small the happy-hour coverage is remarkably high: most of the bars we track here publish one, they run long into the evening, and several open in the mid-afternoon rather than at four.
