Cheap beer in Hudson Yards
Hudson Yards is the newest drinking neighborhood in Manhattan and the least forgiving on price: this is a short list, almost entirely hotel bars, observation-deck lounges, and restaurant bars inside the development, and the floor of the range sits where other neighborhoods' ceilings are. There is no old-bar tier here because there are no old bars. Happy hour exists at a handful of venues and is worth using — the windows are weekday-leaning late afternoon — but even the discounted price stays above what the neighborhoods across the tracks charge outright.
