Cheap beer in Greenpoint
Greenpoint drinks in old Polish bars and the newer rooms that moved in around them, and the two coexist on the same blocks along Manhattan and Franklin — which is why the bottom of this range is set by decades-old cash-only rooms and the top by craft taprooms a few doors down. It is a walkable neighborhood with a high bar-per-block count and no single strip. Happy hour is comparatively thin here: fewer of these bars publish one than in Bushwick or Williamsburg, and the ones that do keep to a conventional weekday four-to-seven, so the cheap end of this list is cheap outright rather than by discount.
